SYAPD’s mission to empower key stakeholders in Waberi Villa Wajid IDPs camps focuses on combating harmful traditional practices within both the IDP and broader community. By establishing a robust network, SYAPD nurtures advocates for a safer, more inclusive society beyond GBV awareness, while strengthening their commitment to holistic protection and security.
With a special emphasis on shielding children from the detrimental impacts of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and early marriages, SYAPD leads tailored training sessions designed to address these critical issues. The ultimate goal is to cultivate awareness and proactive engagement within the Banadir community, ensuring a secure and healthier future for all.
In partnership with Dalbile, and with funding from IRIESEHUB and UNFPA Somalia, Strategies for Somali Youth Ambassador for Peace and Democracy (SYAPD) is actively reducing violence against women. Through the implementation of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) awareness training activities in Waberi Villa IDPs, Banadir Region, SYAPD continues to make a significant impact.
